DANVERS, Mass. — Maxam Tire North America has introduced the MS600 press-on solid tire for materials-handling equipment.

The tire line incorporates Maxam's proprietary rubber compound technology, EcoPoint3, and features a wide tread for improved stability, grip and tire life. The new MS600 will be manufactured in Maxam's tire factory in Vietnam.

Featuring a five-degree sidewall taper, the MS600 will be available in an extra-wide North American tread profile for maximum load distribution and stability when starting and stopping.

The EcoPoint3 compounding addresses the biggest three challenges in the tire industry, according to Maxam: Rolling, skid and wear resistance.

The proprietary process allows for the MS600's masterbatches to contain less filler, higher ratios of stress at elongation and minimum proportions of impurities, resulting in a more consistent and leading-edge compound, according to the tire maker.

The skid, wear and rolling resistance provide a stronger, safer and more energy-efficient tire, Maxam said.

"In continuation of establishing the brand-new solid factory with advanced automation and creating the evolutionary EcoPoint3 compound technology," Maxam Tire North America President Troy Kline said, the new MS600 series marks another milestone of Maxam Tire's commitment of providing unmatched performance, value and productivity to the material handling market."

"We are confident that the new program will raise industry standards and provide the valuable business solutions that our customers deserve," he said.
